Today, workrest is launching the Leave Gantt Chart, the most effective way to view and schedule Leave.

Over two years of feedback from some of the largest yachts in the industry has gone into designing the Leave Gantt Chart to greatly simplify a vessel’s rotation process.

Issues with current crew Leave management systems are well-known:

  • Complex spreadsheets require manual adjustments and are frequently incorrect
  • New admins require training in vessel-specific processes
  • Errors in accrued Leave balance reporting are hard to spot and rectify
  • Calendar formats for rotation schedules are hard to decipher

The Leave Gantt Chart solves all of those, providing vessels with the perfect all-in-one visual format for Leave management.

Compare schedules throughout the year

Get a holistic view of your vessel's Leave schedule across an entire year through the Leave Gantt Chart.

Filter the chart by department and position to compare schedules for rotating positions and prevent handover clashes.

Drill into a month to get greater visibility of day-to-day schedules.

Essential Leave information at a glance

Scheduled Leave will run horizontally along the applicable months and days, and is highlighted in a colour to represent the type of Leave scheduled.

The total number of days as well as the type of Leave that’s been scheduled will also be displayed over the top of the Leave period.

Schedule Leave from the chart

Tap into a crew member's row directly on the chart to open the Leave scheduler.

You can also view and edit any Leave period within the chart, so you’ll never need to leave the page.

See accrued Leave balances

Show accrued Leave balances across days from the monthly view and see how they’re impacted by Leave activity.

Any potential errors in accrued Leave balances are then easy to spot and resolve.
